"The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain!"
We had an adventurous weekend. Preston, Evan and I had been looking forward to a hot sunny day at the lake for almost two weeks. We were so excited when we finally got the chance last Friday, only by the time we got all the way up to the lake, clouds started rolling in quickly. It didn't bother us. People were leaving and we had the lake all to ourselves. We continued to set up camp and cook our hot dogs. By the time our coals were warm, our hot dogs were finished cooking and we were reaching in the bag for the hot dog buns, it down poured on us. Thunder lighting and the whole shabang!. Evan jumped in the lake while Preston and I shoved our soggy hot dogs and buns down our throats. We then packed our gear up and headed down the mountain.
We decided to take advantage of the jeep, the mountains and rain with a little off roading in the mud.
I've never had a better time at Payson Lake!

Our Room of Love
A new love sac has joined our home! ... for a little while at least. My brother in law, Blaine, bought a love sac so that he will have something nice and comfy to relax and watch movies on when he moves in. But for now, we're enjoying the full fluffy room. There is not an inch of walking space. It's so much fun! You have to step on one sac to get to another. We're going to miss that TV room. This is our last week at the condo because the bathroom is finally completed!! We are so anxious to move in. We love our new home and our new bathroom. Preston and I are looking forward to the future and all the fun projects that are coming with it.

The Sushi House
This last week, my sister in-law's father (Kayo's Dad) took us all out to eat Sushi. It was Janine and Logan's first time ever eating Sushi. So much fun! Although Sushi is not my most favorite Cuisine, I do enjoy the ambiance and idea of eating it. Weird, I know.
Wow, sure seems as if Kayo really enjoys her Sushi
Yummmm...
(Sorry Kayo. I didn't realize until I got
home that your eyes were half shut)
If I were to take a guess, I don't think Logan would be opposed to eating the Japanese delight (served by Chinese people here in America) in the future however, I'm pretty positive Janine hasn't made plans to eat it again any time soon.

"I May Have Cut it Too Short"
A few Sundays back I cut Prestons hair for the first time. What an experience! I think I'm in need of a little more practice before I get it just perfect. I may or may not have cut his hair a little too short. Possibly so short that you could see the grooves in the back of his head making his haircut look splotchy. I don't know. You can ask an expert. But a hair cut was not the only pampering (if you will) Preston received that traumatic Sunday, I also shaved his face. However, I have shaved his face plenty of times in the past so I'm pretty much an expert now. No need to worry. Take a look for yourself...

The Nilsson Family 3rd Annual Bike Trip
We returned home from our annual bike trip two weeks ago. The original plan was to head east towards the Dakota's but unfortunately mother nature did not want to cooperate with us this year, forcing us to head south. I on the other hand, although a little disappointed we weren't going to get to explore Mt. Rushmore this year, was grateful to head south towards warm weather. Heavenly Father has truly blessed us with such a beautiful Earth and I am grateful to have the opportunity and capability to see and experience even just a few of his creations.
The grand canyon was the main destination this year. Anyone who has been there knows that no picture can do the canyon justice. It's enormous! I look forward to taking my children there one day
