Spring Break 2009

Last weekend Preston and I spent spring break camping down in Zions with our good friends Cherylyn and Matt. Preston and I kicked off the riding season by cruising down on the motorcycle while our friends were kind and selfless enough to carry our camping gear in their car. We had a blast hiking the huge mountains/rocks (what are they?) that zions is so famous and popular for. We also played games, cooked some great food with the dutch oven and had a lot of good fun conversations around the campfire (while of course roasting marshmallows). We are so lucky to have Cherylyn and Matt as friends. They are the funnest couple we know! We look forward to our next vacation with them this summer.

Love and Vegas

Preston and I had a wonderful Valentines Day. We skipped the busy crowds by going out the night before to our favorite Thai restaurant. The next day we both had our opportunities to surprise one another with a little some'em some'em ;) It was great fun.

A few more big events have happened over the past two weeks and I want to recognize a few people...

My parents anniversary was Feb. 14. A girl could not ask for better parents. My Mom and Dad mean to the world to me and I love them very much. I am so grateful for all they have done for me. Thank you Mom and Dad for getting married!!! I don't know where I would be without you. I hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day/Anniversary!!

My brother and his amazing wife also had their Anniversary, on Feb 24th. Despite the fact they were sick, I hope they had a wonderful evening and wish them many more happy years to come. They are such a fun cute couple and are amazing parents to their one year old son.

This last week Preston and I went to Las Vegas. Preston had his national stunting competition down there at The Orleans. His team was so close to winning ,it almost hurts. He had an amazing group to preform with. They were all very talented and did a spectacular job.
We had a blast on our trip and were able to stay with our friends, the Orlowskis. It was AWESOME! I had never been in a home as large as theirs before. A mansion would be the correct term. Preston and I were able to enjoy their theater room a couple of times although our trip was short. They also had the comfiest bed I have EVER been in. I didn't want to leave Vegas for that one reason a lone. Their bed.
The Orlowskis are the kindest people and we are so lucky we have them as friends. Thank you for your hospitality! We love you!

Getting Around to Another Post

I'm getting around to working on my blogspot again. Do you like the new look?

So much has been going on around here for Preston and I. Prestons younger brother left on his mission last week. What an exciting event that was. We miss him so much already but we know he makes the best missionary anyone could ask for. Before you know it, he's going to be working close with the Prophet. Landon entered the MTC on Wed. Feb 4 and will be serving in Argentina, down south with the Penguins.

The day after Landon left, Preston and I headed to Seattle to visit home. It had been over a year since I had been back! It was a pretty relaxed weekend. We went to the Snoqualmie Falls where I took some picture which I am very excited to develop at school and other then that, we pretty much just played on the Wii Fit, went to a couple of movies and did some shoe shopping. It was defiantly a short weekend but worth every second. We got a killer deal on plane tickets so we figured we'd better take advantage. Next time we'll be sure to make it a longer trip.

I didn't take any digital pictures while we were up in Seattle because my battery was dead so I can't upload any from our trip, however, I am taking a photography class at school and am becoming obsessed with taking pictures so I will upload a couple that I have taken in the past couple of months that I like.

The Windy City

Hello Blog Followers!

My first blog! Yay! and an exciting one at that. :D I'm new to this and still don't have my site the way I would like but I'm working on it and in the mean time, I'll keep you posted on the current events of our newly wed life.

Preston and I were in Chicago this week! Preston was there on a business trip and we decided that it would be good if I went along as well. Okay... so I'm the one who thought it would be good if I went along (you know, to broaden my cultural experience) but Preston had no complaints ;). So we left a day early and had fun wondering around Chicago. We visited Navy Pier on our first day and the following day, while Preston was at work, I got my shopping in. I found a new pair of pants that I love! Preston also took me out for a nice stake dinner to Ruth's Chris. It was simply divine! Our last night in town, he took me to see the business section of the city where I must say the architecture is mind blowing. There's no better way to describe it. The buildings are jaw dropping, beautiful!

I think one of my most favorite parts of the trip were all the black guys that shouted out to Preston to "keep that ring on your finger!", "she's a keeper!". I was flattered :)

The experience was a lot of fun and I look forward to our next visit.

Thank you, Preston, for being so wonderful! I'm the lucky one :D
